Julie Jones-Hewitt- President
Julie Jones-Hewitt is a founding member of the Trinidad and Tobago Association of GA.
Julie was born and raised in Carenage, Trinidad before migrating to New York in 1974. She later relocated to Decatur, Georgia, where she lives presently.
Julie is married to Bertram Jones-Hewitt, and is the mother of two wonderful children, Kwame and Hazel. She is also the proud grandmother to Bruce Terry Jr.
Being involved with the Trinidad and Tobago Association of Georgia since its inception, Julie had the opportunity to serve on the executive board and head various committees. Today, she is proud to be the President of this wonderful organization.
Hazel Mitchel - Vice President
Hazel Mitchell was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad. She migrated to the United States with her siblings. She is currently employed with Mercy Care-Edgewood Center for the past seventeen years. She is an active member of the AAOI Planning Committee (Atlanta Area Outreach Initiative) for the past the past 15 years. She served as the Volunteer Chair for the past eight years, served on the Fundraising Committee and is presently the Chairperson for the Exhibits.
Hazel is serving this term as the Vice-President of TnTGA.
She enjoys attending workshops, conferences that will enhance her ability to learn and grow in the work that she does, which is in the HIV/AIDS and Mental Health Community.
In her spare time she loves to entertain and go on weekly shopping excursions, mini vacations to the beach, mountains and to museums. Travel to exotic places and obtaining knowledge for further improvement and development.
Marjorie Foster - Assistant Secretary
Marjorie Foster was born in Trinidad and Tobago. She grew up in San Fernando with her parents and three younger brothers. After graduating High School, she entered Nursing School, trained for 6 years, and obtained a General Nursing Certificate followed by a Midwifery Certificate. She worked at the hospital for three years in both capacities.
In 1973, Marjorie migrated to the United States to continue her career in Nursing. She resided in Brooklyn for 8 years, worked at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital and attended St. Joseph’s College in Brooklyn, graduating with a Bachelors’ Degree in Health Care.
During that time, Marjorie and her husband, Rodney Foster, Author, became successful Avon Sales Representatives for many years. They won a sales trip to Monte Carlo from Avon in 1981.
On the heels of that exciting trip, they were motivated to relocate from Brooklyn to Los Angeles, CA.
They lived and worked there for 15 years then decided to relocate to Atlanta, Georgia in 1997. Continuing her Nursing Career, Marjorie obtained credentials to become an Oncology Nurse and worked in that field until her retirement.
Marjorie has been a member of TNTGA since its inception.

Colin Tinto - Trustee
Colin was born in Trinidad and Tobago at the General Hospital. He left Trinidad and Tobago at the age of 8, and lived in the state of New Jersey. He moved to Brooklyn NY
3 years later. After high school, Colin attended Brooklyn Community College and Center for the Media Arts in Manhattan. Colin is an avid photographer and has also been on the radio for a number of years.
Patricia Hamilton - Secretary
Patricia Hamilton was born in Port of Spain Trinidad and Tobago. She spent her childhood and early adulthood in Maraval, a village in the north east of Trinidad. Patricia migrated to the USA in 1997, and since then, has made her home in Stone Mountain GA.
Patricia worked as an Air Traffic Controller in Trinidad and Tobago before moving to the United States where she is presently employed with Delta Air Lines.
Patricia Is a long-standing member of the Trinidad and Tobago Association, and has served on the board in the past. She is the mother of three young adults who also live and work in this community.
Patricia would like to thank the members of the association for giving her the opportunity to serve on this present board and is looking forward to working with everyone.

Gwendolyn Llanos - PRO
Gwendolyn Venus Llanos was born in Diego Martin, Trinidad but was raised in Point Fortin. She migrated to the USA with her siblings in 1972. Upon graduating high school in 1976, she went on to be a certified Surgical technologist, she then received her bachelor’s degree in respiratory care. Gwendolyn has worked in Labor and Delivery for 18 years then moved on to work 14 + years in the main operating room where she stayed until retiring in 2014.
Upon retiring Gwendolyn moved to Lithonia GA with her daughter where she lives to this present time. She has been very busy with her volunteering services such as the Garden Club, the Travel club, the Council of Excellence at LWSC and being a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Association of Georgia for several years. She was recently elected as the PRO of TnTGA and is happy to be a board member.
In her spare time, when she is not in her garden you can find her cruising or traveling the world. Gwendolyn plans on working very hard for the betterment of the association.
